On Friday June 19, when homeland if any, could not stop going out to enjoy. And I think that there is nothing like enjoying a Friday, even more than a Saturday .. I do not know why ... anyway. Decibels are presented in
Soundays , Electric Kool Aid and Vintage.
As always in these times of year the cold was present in Montevideo, but fortunately many people we did not care very much. To start the night
Vintage touched. A nice presentation of this band was the first time I saw her live. Highlighted the guitars, rolling with those chords well at times, and there was also room for some blues, played from the presentation of singer Mick jaggeresco quasi showman. Can enter your myspace to beat them a listen.


After Soundays touched. A band is already known to me and this blog. This is the first time I see them live with the new lineup of four and the truth that the sound leaves nothing to envy the old formation. Presentation was a good rock, good guitar above all the power issues, backed up by good work of the "new" bass player and the rhythmic base that always requires a battery. You could say that the show was not very long but if you had that energy enough to hit a kick to the public and mussing all. Stay tuned for new work of the band, which already can hear some tracks on myspace of premix from the disk. As always, good chords and melodies emerge from this band. A Cordovan my acquaintance once wrote: "They were born, grew up and live in Uruguay, but the reality is they breathe different air, are part of a different atmosphere, and the music is the most faithful of all this." Nothing more certain than that phrase and nothing more to say.



the end came Electric Kool-Aid. The cut "Beautiful people" from their first album a while ago that is rotating on the radio, and do very well. So well that were nominated in recent Graffiti Awards 2009 for "Best New Band" and "Best Alternative Rock Album", all under the tutelage of the famous Max Capote. A band that you may notice a brit air influence, for his lyrics in English and music style. Some influences on their myspace are named Joy Division, The Beatles, The Cure, The Smiths, David Bowie, among others. They sounded great, I liked the detallísticos arrangements and intelligent use of those keyboards that sound great.

"Misshapes," a night of rock and pop in the city

is said is the only party in that match Madonna, The Strokes and many other figures of the New York art scene as Kate Moss, Ashlee Simpson, Franz Ferdinand, The Killers, Hillary Duff, Kelly Osbourne and even Yoko Ono.

So, were invited to Argentina to give the first party at a nightclub there. Before arriving, they contacted the local DJ Paola Dalto and generated the event which took place on Friday June 12 in Key Club.
Misshapes is a holiday that blends modern styles like electro, music rock indie rock and more electronic and dance.
DJing that night before arrival to the trays of local New Yorkers own Danispace by September 1, was also the VJ Chindogu offering his vision.
The party, carrying a fashionista aesthetic, thanks to the dj's is a precursor to the revolution of the "party-photos." In each issue, the party leaves behind a complete photographic archive that is published in www.misshapes.com and www.icanteachyouhowtodoit.com .
The party was full of people who shook the main DJs of the party who played more than expected (4 hrs.) And was with Blog stylehunting of Couture, plus Misshapes photographers nyc that publish the most prominent images of the event on their websites and in Vogue New York.

These bands fell short, as people waved with both bands at the time of his early presentations at night, were received very well these dance songs. No doubt it was a party which had its power and its particular vibe.

As one who does not want the thing we already June and we are in the middle of 2009 that threw it! To start the month looked forward to the Uruguay-Brazil match (better not talk as we were ...) and I gathered the prior going to BJ on Friday 5 to see the famous The Shippers friends and other band ever had seen, Placenta. Tremenda
night with freezing temperatures, cold oil is coming through in Montevideo. But luckily we can not speak of "cold" as the people who frequented the place and the performances.
I'd say BJ inside everything was very "hot", Placenta providing a show great, never had heard but I left a good impression. Many electric guitar to deliver energy in each subject, if you have time can hit them a listen on their myspace .



The Shippers were not far behind and were also very nice touch. These guitars sounded full with the familiar songs such as "my spell" and the band also showed strength with some new tracks such as "wonderful mistake" and others. As heard on the show, the new material follows the same line as the previous issues. This shows that Uruguay also can do good things, at least my simple opinion. Up and coming up next.
