On Friday night August 28 BEYOND high in the daily cafe near Old Town, HERE in Montevideo.
They played in the following order: Solitary , Volcanoes and asleep at the wheel.
To start the night the pair came Loners, Emilio Acosta and Martin Rivero. Emilio known for many things as his solo work, the lucky winners and their projections, and Martin by Astroboy or solo tracks.
presented several topics very good, according to some extent with the likes of his earlier works, many pop melodies with a touch of folk and more. Each one with his guitar slung over arrangements drawn with precise percussion notebook, which gives them certain characteristic touch to the songs too. But what ends up defining these songs are those voices in English no doubt enhance subjects that already own are good. With that said, a good presentation, solid, and nice to hear issues.
Then it was the turn of the Volcanoes, which dispense more than one member who temporarily replaced by someone who at this point in the night and did not see who it was, left the ring with great gusto and great polenta. The band is composed of both as dj deep, artist and leandro santiago lingerart Tuko Bone also of Astroboy.
The issues touched, are a constant and progressive eruption generated a unique atmosphere in which the beat you along, you along. Part of that progress on the issues, is also given for improvisation in every one of them being born. I think something really genuine, because it feels and it is not a genre pigeonhole anything but cover any element of the musical spectrum to make their own. And I assume there is no question of mixing elements, because yes, the genius is in knowing which way to compose something that is good considering much influence: guitar, rock, beats, scratches, drum machine, synthesizers, etc..
The night fell asleep at the wheel were also familiar faces to join other bands, Pablo Francisco Fiallo Risso drums and guitar / vocals (known Astroboy) as well as Juan Manuel Morante he plays keyboards, guitar Martin also Sanjines (known Boomerang), Fausto Bonavetti bases and under Santiago Giani.
First time I saw them live, after hearing their songs on myspace. A variety of topics ranging from pop, rock and dance have their hand if wants, apart from their melodies, for some things marked rhythm in some subjects such as eg. which bears the same name of the band, supported by grounded and powered on the keyboard. Well the other instruments also key in addition to a whole that feature topics of great taste in my opinion. The lyrics of all subjects in English at least what I remember very well fit with the style of the band. Topics like "do u luv me" you have an atmosphere very interesting with that repetitive do u luv me do u luv me that subtly accompanied by the band. Of my favorites, the theme of "crisis after midnight." Finally, a band that sounds great, and also has variety, something remarkable if we are not bored, and above all good music to the ears.
